It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Eleanora A. Dellacamera (Murphy) following a short illness, on July 26, 2022, at the age of 85.
Eleanora (Ellie) was born in Columbus, OH; the daughter of Otto and Nora (nee Keefer) Sprouse. Ellie graduated from St. Josephs Academy Catholic School in Columbus, OH. After graduation, Ellie married William J. Carty, Sr. This union produced five children: William J. Carty, Jr., Nora Carol Horvet, Patrick Owen Carty, Stephenie Marie Roberts, and Timothy Sean Carty. After becoming a single-parent she began working at Educator and Executive insurance and thus began an incredible insurance career.
In 1973 she married Edward Gerald Murphy (Murph). Her 35-year insurance career took her to Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, and finally to Lakeland, FL. During these years, one of her major accomplishments was the completion of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification. Following Murph’s death in 1999, Ellie retired from the insurance industry in 2003, and moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL. There she met and married Dominick (Jerry) Dellacamera. Following Jerry’s death in 2016, Ellie moved to Hawthorne House at the Bob Hope Air Force Enlisted Village and spent the last two years, playing the piano and leading sing-alongs with her cherished new friends. Ellie was pre-deceased by her parents Otto J. Sprouse and Nora C. Sprouse, her former husband, William Carty, Sr.; her second husband, Edward Gerald (Murph)Murphy, and her third husband, Dominick (Jerry) Dellacamera, brothers, Jack and George and sisters, Mary Hess and Marjorie DeLapp.
She was also pre-deceased by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Kathy Carty, daughters, Bonnie Dellacamera Holland and Teresa Dellacamera Ritter; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Smith and Great-Granddaughter Joslyn Hatter (Jones); Ellie is survived by her daughters, Nora Horvet, Stephenie Roberts, Rose (Steve) Clapp, and
Adrienne Olson; her sons, Patrick (Sharon) Carty and Timothy (Tamela) Carty, and sons-in-law, Charles Ritter and Floyd Holland. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren: Scott (Rose) Gray, Amy (Tom) Bennett, Terry Davis, Nicolas (Allie) Davis, Laura (David) Pienik, Katie Horvet (Jon Lyon), Megan Carty (Justin White), Anthony (Crystal) Carty, Eric (Emmylyn) Fugitt, Zac (Heidi) Fugitt, James Fugitt, Saraia Carter (Arlanda Frazier), Sam (Stephanie) Roberts, Tommy Jones, Brian Jones, Melissa Clapp, Jay Clapp, Tim Clapp, Michael Hill, Elicia (Wayne) Coff, Melissa Hill-Boyles, Kari Hill (Larry Barnhill), Jessica (Richard) Hulett, Elizabeth Irwin, and Dru Olson. She is further survived by 42 great-grandchildren: Jessica Umidi, Daniel Gray, Sadie Beth Gray, Grayson Bennett, Keira Bennett, Teagan Davis, Alpha Harrier, Brandi Davis, Cayla Davis, Sydney Pienik, Colin Pienik, Asher Pienik, Rivianna Jusino-Carty, Mykaia Jusino-Carty, Scarlett White, Peyton Petty, Anthony Carty, Jr., Bentley Carty, Brenton Fugitt, Sasha Fugitt, Callie Fugitt, Elyana Frazier, Jacob Love, Aaron Love, Hazel McDaniel, Treyson Frazier, Masen Jones, Gage Hall, Will Jones, Angela (Kyle) Whitaker, Caitlynn Boyles, Alyssa Boyles, Mateo Reyes-Hill, Sierra Edmunds, Mason Edmunds, Riley Edmunds, Larry Barnhill, Jr., Michael Hulett, Zachary Hulett, Ethan Hulett, Ava Hulett, and Jace Farland. She is also survived by 1 Great-Great-granddaughter, Oakleigh Grace Whitaker. Numerous beloved nephews and nieces.
A Commemoration of Life for Ellie will take place 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Resurrection Anglican Church located at 66 8th St., Shalimar, FL 32579.
